This type of heaters, MoSi2 Element (Kanthal Super Elements TM*), greatly increases resistivity with temperature. The resistance value at ambient temperature is very low and increases its value up to 10 times as a function of the temperature. In order not to oversize the Thyristor unit in current it is necessary to limit the current to the load by reducing the voltage with phase angle ignition and current limit. When the resistance value reaches a set value, two types of working methods are possible which can be selected from the HMI: - Phase angle plus current limit all the time, or - Phase angle plus current limit, when the resistance is cold and transfers to delayed activation if the load is coupled to the transformer. CD Automation can control this type of elements with REVO C and REVEX 1PH units.
